Happy new year!
2006, How would it turn out?
For starters.. 1. I caught a cold on New Years Day (how cool is that? :~*)
2. I lost my wallet at the countdown! (DAMN!F* #!@$~! BLOODY HELL!)
3. I STILL have not completed my 2005 list of "Things to Do"
1. The New Year's ColdI must have caught it when it starting raining chickens and donkeys on 31st!
The rain was SO heavy...
Visibility was only 2 blocks
The trees bend till it looked like it was going to snap
And the drains and canals were gushing mad...
I seriously thought it was going to FLOOD.
Well, flood my nose with mucus it did!
I braved the rain and went to meet Yen, Bishe, Nisa & her bollywood boyfriend (suppose to be a class gathering) at Marina Breeks, suppose to meet at 4pm.. but i reached only at 5pm...
Feeling all cold, wet and hungry (didnt eat all day)
I ordered half a CHICKEN! drizzled with honey.. aww yummy...
Well, the conversation got going, with the usual class gossip and bitching` =)
Bishe said she missed everyone in class..
Well, I do too... i miss school actually. Sigh.........
We went out seperate ways after that...
Yen went to Fish and Co to meet Aba and Ajid and EAT AGAIN~
Bishe was waiting for her mates at the Esplanade area
and I zipped off to meet dot and yokie to eat again.. hahhaa
Had dinner (round 2)at the sushi bar at Funan and then drove off to Sentosa!
We zipped pass MOS~ and gosh.. the queue was eXtremely long.. it was only 9.45 then and the queue was all the way pass the reverse bungee jumping area.. goodness. and traffic was so heavy along that strectch.. looks like everyone was going MOS for countdown man...
oh well, We drove into sentosa and headed to 7-11 along Palawan Beach to get drinks and snacks.....
2. AND THERE IS WHERE THE WALLET DROPDamn! I threw my wallet in the plastic bag of chips and merrily walked back to the car, not realising that the side of the plastic bag had a split *all thanks to the nachos*. This was around 10+... and i didn't discover my lost wallet until 4am, when we were heading for prata at west coast.. AH! what a start to the new year lor...
My ic - gone (2nd time = $300 fine)
My ez-link with concession - gone
Student card - gone
Cashcard - gone
ATM card - gone
and cash $30 - gone
DAMN it... just hope whoever who picks it up has a heart and returns my IC. Thats all i ask. (but i know the chances are damn slim, SIGH!)
oh well, that was the most disheartening news for the start of the new year.
Oh, but that aside.. I had a mad time at the beach...
There was the sandy dance (cheographed by dot) DAMN FUNNY!
She just vibrate on the spot while turning. Reminded me of HabboHotel characters doing a dance! LOL!
And silly yokie made us dig a SUPER DEEP AND BIG DITCH at the beach.
It was crazy.
We could sit at the edge and dangle our legs comfortably to the base of the ditch.
It was a big big sand tub.. could sit 6 guys i think..
MAN! my arms are still a little sore from all that digging.
Why we did it? Why we joined him to do it? I HAVE NO IDEA. No idea man.
Just hope we will be a little richer if this will become our yearly ritual..
At least then, we can call for excavators... DAMN ! what did i do it man? Arrrgghhh... hahahhahahahha
Another one of those mad mad mad, no reason projects....
Well, no gathering with the two fellas is ever without MAD singing and clapping...and now a new addition.. the occassional gulping.. Gulp` Gulp` MADNESS!
Well, the beach had all sorts of people spending their countdown there... couples having some hot, in-the-sea-action (better not to describe), people from the nearby club with the bathttub, lonely tourist (this eurasian fella who sat alone at the beach lighting sparkles at midnight), a football league of kids playing, people fishing, teenagers from intl' schools, and of course, 3 lame fellas digging ditches.. hahahhaha
Oh that marks the Mad start for the New Year!
Since I couldnt go catch a midnight show - Narnia, with Liz cos i feel so handicapped without my wallet..I watched Accidental Tourist on dvd at home instead.
What I got out from the movie is this...
Sometimes in life we meet a crisis and get stuck in the past. To move on can be overwhelming and at times just too much. But if you take a step, let loose and allow surprises to step in only then, can there be chance for things to get better.
Theres also this other message that no matter how much planning we do for life to be predictable and safe - it is not.
Yup, the movie set me thinking about my 2006. As March approaches, I reach another fork in the road. And how does one choose? what about wishes and reality?
Hm... there seems to be....
.......lots to think about......
